Linda Dunkel to Headline Major Australian Conference on Women in Leadership
BOSTON, August 30, 2011 — Longtime IA veteran and former CEO, Linda Dunkel, is the keynote speaker at the Women Chiefs of Enterprises International (WCEI) Conference in Sydney, Australia on September 8, 2011.
Dunkel brings decades of expertise in leadership and collaboration to her keynote topic: Conscious Capitalism, and the role of women leaders in bringing a new vision and a new type of leadership to corporations and other global organizations.
"We are excited to have Linda present her ideas at this important women's conference," said Linda Stewart, President and CEO of Interaction Associates, the 40-year innovator of leadership practices that involve employees in working collaboratively to drive business results. "Interaction Associates is known for delivering powerful, practical, leadership skill-building via our consulting, learning and coaching services. Our orientation to the 'triple bottom line,' where all stakeholders are involved appropriately in business decisions, aligns closely with the concept of Conscious Capitalism," added Stewart.
Linda Dunkel currently holds a senior client engagement role and serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Interaction Associates. She served as president and CEO of the firm for 10 years, and she relinquished that dual role earlier in the year to focus on global client solutions and thought leadership. Dunkel is active on several other boards, including that of the nonprofit Interaction Institute for Social Change, the greaterthan > conference, and World Centers of Compassion for Children International (WCCCI), founded by Nobel Peace Laureate Betty Williams.
"Conscious Capitalism" involves the reorientation of business focused solely on the pursuit of profits to one focused on integrity, higher standards, and serving all stakeholders: employees, suppliers, customers, investors, the community, and the world at large. "It’s time for business to step into a leadership role in solving many of the issues the world faces today. We cannot focus exclusively on financial results," said Linda Dunkel. "Leaders, and especially women leaders, are poised to bring a revolutionary new type of leadership to organizations all over the world," she said.
Linda Dunkel's keynote address will take place at 4 p.m. Thursday, September 8 at the Swissotel in downtown Sydney. The conference itself runs from September 7-9. WCEI is a membership organization that offers resources, development and convening events to its members across Australia.
